Meet Beau! Beau is one of the sweetest dogs I've been able to foster, he was an owner surrender at a kill shelter here in Louisiana because the wife no longer wanted him. He's between 2-3 and weighs about 60lbs, he's a Catahoula mix, with a loving personality. He's good with other dogs, cats, and kids. He loves to snuggle up next to you and be around you all the time. He is house trained and crate trained, however I have not crated him much at all here. I leave him out in the house while I'm at work and he does fine. I do not have a fenced yard, and he will run off occasionally to visit the neighborhood, but when I go find him jumps right in the truck. I've taken him to Lowes and he loves going and visiting all the people at Lowes. Beau will make a great family dog and does fine on a leash. If I didn't already have 6 would've considered adding him to my pack.

As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volu nteers. Adoption Fee is $350 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
