Mandy is a beautiful dog who will be joining us in Seattle on the 22nd of April from her current foster home in Louisiana where she was rescued from the local high kill shelter. We believe she is a lab/Catahoula mix, approximately 15 months old and as sweet as can be.
She is up to date on all her shots, heart worm neg, on heart worm prevention, and is spayed. She gets along great with other dogs with the proper introductions and loves to play for hours. She is the biggest cuddle bug there can be. She comes up to anyone and instantly rolls over on her back for belly rubs. She is amazing with children and let's them play with her for hours. She has so much love to give and is ready for her forever home. She is potty trained, only barks when she hears someone come onto her property, and you can trust her to leave her out of the kennel all day because she does not chew up anything. She is a great companion in the car and loves to go on rides. Still working on leash training but will stay close by if you're around. She is learning to play fetch but would rather just sit with you for cuddles! She would be the perfect best friend for a child and her foster mom would love her to go to a home with kids. She is just the sweetest thing and it has been much loved in her foster home, but is now ready for a home of her own.
She is a little more timid around men at first but she warms up in a few minutes. Doesn't have to be in a crate when you leave and has been trusted in her current home to be at large in the house whilst her family is out. She just sleeps on the couch.  She's not the biggest fan of water! She hasn't been around cats so we can't say how she would do with them yet.

As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters.  You are welcome to fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org; please fill this in as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $350 which includes all transport, vetting (including neuter) and microchipping.
