Vernon is a super sweet gentle boy who just joined us from Louisiana. His foster in the south described him as the perfect dog High praise from someone with multiple foster dogs in her care!  He is great with kids, cats (though he might occasionally chase them) and most other dogs- we would want to have a play date with your dog to make sure they got along.  Potty and leash trained, loves to run and play but is mellow in the house.  Happy and energetic Vernon's ideal day would be spent at the beach playing long distance fetch and enjoying all the smells then snuggled at home with you under the covers. He's a super loving pup who is looking for a home of his own. If your family loves the outdoors, are looking for an exercise buddy, think an agility class would be fun or your pup needs a playmate then Vernon might be the perfect dog for you! He's super smart and learned multiple agility obstacles in one afternoon! 

 Vernon is extremely food motivated and is in the midst of discovering what food is best for him as he has some sensitivities which can make him itchy.

 As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters.  You are welcome to fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org; please fill this in as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $350 which includes all transport, vetting (including neuter) and microchipping.
