Sweet GK is looking for a home!

Garage Kitty (GK) is being fostered by one of our volunteers, this is what they say about him:

Garage Kitty (GK) had been a fixture in our neighborhood for about four years when we took him in.  Abandoned by one neighbor and being fed by another, he came to say hello every morning when we went to work.  He was continually crossing our fairly busy street, and seemed to spend most of his time outside.  We also worried about him because, living near the railroad tracks and a wetland, we have a pretty high coyote population.  When the woman that was feeding him had to go to assisted living her children took her little dog, but GK was left behind.  We took him into our garage because our dogs have never lived with cats and are kind of old and set in their ways.  We have been taking care of him for about a year.  

GK is a loving, affectionate cat and gets lonely being isolated in the garage.  We’ve brought him in to get used to the dogs, but they have trouble getting used to him.  We hope to find a good home for him where he can be an indoor cat and get lots of attention (he has his own laser pointer).  He is perfectly litter trained (over a year and never done anything “outside the box”).  He is neutered and has all of his shots.  Living in the garage with nothing to do but eat and sleep, GK has put on some weight (he’s about 20#) and will need diet and exercise to get him back in fighting shape.
