The beautiful Miss Daisy joined us from Louisiana on Memorial Day weekend with her 8 puppies. She is only 15 months old, a baby herself but had birthed these babies alone near a church. She was wearing an old collar that was several sizes too small and deeply embedded into her neck. It was bleeding and very infected. Animal control had been trying for a year to catch her with no success but she was finally able to be rescued because she wouldn't leave her babies! All the puppies have been adopted.

So now it's Momma's turn. She has been through a lot in her short life and needs unwavering love and support from her new family.

She will always have a nasty scar from that collar. She's pretty nervous of new situations and needs someone who will patiently teach her not to be afraid of the outside world. She's a super sweet loving dog who is ok with kids who are respectful of her space (mine are 5 & 7) and she adores playing with other dogs. She's had lots of fun running and chasing other dogs in her yard but is wary of dogs outside of her safe place and truly isn't a fan of the leash yet. She is crate and potty trained.

She prefers to be outside with you but if you go in isn't a fan of being alone. Daisy's ideal home would be one that has a good sized fenced yard. Whilst she shows no signs of wanting out of a fenced backyard she WILL bolt if able to make it out of the front door and therefore would do best with a dog savvy owner and a doggy companion to play with.

She's clever and already learned to sit for her treats! Daisy is spayed, up to date on shots and on Heartworm prevention.
