Peggy was abandoned at 8 weeks old with two broken bones on her left front leg. She is healing well but unfortunately, the break has affected her growth plates which means one bone is growing slower than the other and results with her paw turning outward at the wrist. She has been to several doctors specializing with such cases and for now, the general feedback is to wait. It is also possible that she may require amputation in the future. This needs to be considered as the rest of her body grows and her level of discomfort increases. Despite this physical challenge in her young life, Peggy is active, charming, very social (with dogs and people), not destructive, travels well and enjoys life. She is almost completely housebroken, vaccinated, although currently too young to be spayed, she will be before release and microchipped. Peggy will require a family who will not only love her forever unconditionally and apply proper obedience but one that will also monitor the condition of her leg. Because of the uncertain aspects of this it is critical that her new family be able to provide proper and timely medical care without having to compromise financially. Peggy does not see herself as handicapped and enjoys each day to its fullest with the help of her caring foster. Her physical beauty is matched only by her equally enchanting spirit. Adoption fee.
