Ben was found on a busy highway along with two other dogs and was taken to the shelter. There he was labeled aggressive and was about to be euthanized when his rescuers him took out and transferred him to another shelter where there too he was considered aggressive. Not wanting Ben to be put down, AFF was asked to assist. We took Ben under our rescue where he was assessed by one of our trainers. He displayed no signs of aggression. On top of it all he gets along well with people, children, other dogs and is fine with cats. We later discovered that this poor boy had two ACL tears, a very painful condition, which explained the growling he displayed at the two shelters. Surgery was performed to address this problem and he is healing remarkably well and is ready for a new home. Ben is a big dog, active and enjoys the company of people and will make a great family member. He is current on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. Adoption fee.
