Edgar came to AFF in July 2009 at about 3 months old. Rescued from a shelter, he and his siblings were thrown out of a moving car when they were puppies. Regardless of this rough start in life, Edgar enjoys and needs a lot of physical affection, petting, snuggling and mere closeness to his people. He is presently being fostered and living with a 15 month old dog much larger than him. They play hard but Edgar is learning to respond well to corrections from his foster parents. Slowly but surely he is also learning basic commands such as sit and come here but his attention span is still on the brief side which is normal for a young dog. Eager to please and food motivated, Edgar is a joy to be around. His house training is improving but still needs a little work. This sweet, energetic, kind and gentle young adult deserves a dedicated forever home who will appreciate his warm personality and can provide a lifetime of proper care and discipline. While he has not been exposed to cats under AFF, he has not shown any signs of prey drive or minor aggression towards other animals with us or at the shelter. Edgar is microchipped, neutered and up to date on vaccinations. Adoption fee.
