The true meaning of gentle giant! If you are looking for a couch potato to channel surf with, this is your girl! Gertie is a very laid back and mild mannered 11 year old. She enjoys short leisurely walks and is learning the joys of hanging her head out a car window. A shy girl who is working on building her confidence, Gertie would love a home with people who will continue to help her with that. She knows her basic commands and only barks when someone is near her yard. Gertie gets along with other dogs (and cats) quite well, but does need to be an only dog household. Due to her previous neglect, she doesn't share food well. You can take her around other dogs without a worry, but since she's unpredictable around food, no other dogs in the house please! Forget about the headaches of dealing with puppy destruction, this seasoned pro knows all the rules and is a super great girl! Must Love Drool!!
