Cherokee is a young, spunky, little girl. She weighs approx 9 pounds & is considered a mini-doxie. She was raised with other dogs of all sizes, cats, & kids. She she would do well in most home environments. She is a young girl that does have an instinct to dig under the fence if left alone. So we would recommend her to be adopted by a family that is either always home with her or has another dog or dog friendly & playful cat for her to play with.
Cherokee grew up in a home with a man & woman but has shown some signs of being scared of men. She gets nervous of men sometimes & will sometimes submissive pee. This is why we didn't list that she is house/potty trained. Cherokee does well in the car, on leash, & at the dog park.
Cherokee is not kennel trained but in her foster home she is baby gated in the kitchen with her foster brother & sister. She has a tendency to get dry skin so she should stay on a food that have some kind of fish product or get fish oil on her food. She is fostered in Graham so we do require an application be filled out & references to be called before meeting her.
