Meet Gus Gus, a special-needs dog in need of a new home. Gus spent his puppyhood in Dominica, an island that does not specialize in animal care. Unfortunately, Gus was physically abused (beaten & fed poisoned rice in an attempt to kill him) for the first year of his life, and has been left with some residual fear issues. Despite his past, Gus is the most amazing and loyal dog I have ever known. Gus has lived with dogs and cats, and does well with both if provided proper introduction. Gus will need a patient family without children. Gus is housebroken, crate trained and knows all basic commands. Gus is almost 4 years old and is a very low energy dog that has enjoyed both apartment living as well as a suburban lifestyle, though he adores going for runs and is the perfect jogging companion. Adoption fee applies. The first 30 days after adoption are considered a trial period, and if it's not a good fit, we will refund 75% of the adoption fee. Thank you!
