We have a couple families interested in adopting Zip. We will not be accepting anymore applications for him unless these families for some reason don't work out. Zip is an approximately 9 month old Catahoula Leopard Dog that we rescued from a high-kill shelter in Louisiana. Although it was a high-kill shelter, he was a staff favorite and they kept him alive for the 4 months he was in their shelter. Even though he spent almost 1/2 his life in an outdoor kennel, Zip is a very smart boy and is learning things very quickly! He's adapted pretty well to his crate training and is doing better every day. He only had one potty-accident in the house, so is learning all of the household ropes very well! He lives with 3 other dogs, a cat and 3 young children. He does really well with everybody. He's trying to work up the courage to chase the cat, but shows no aggression - he just wants to play. He adores the other dogs and is gentle with the children. He does know how to steal food off the counter, but shares his "spoils" with his canine buddies. With proper training and patience, Zip will make an absolutely amazing companion! Adoption fee applies. Zip is fully vaccinated and will be neutered and microchipped before moving into his new home.
