Hi everyone I’m Peaches; a 6 month old shy Catahoula puppy named that because of my sweet disposition. I had a rough start in life, I was found in a dumpster left to die when I was 6 weeks old with a broken jaw, injured leg and bite marks all over my body. A caring person took me in, gave me medical attention and nursed me back to health. After 4 ½ months, my physical wounds are healed and I am now ready to find my forever home. I can be very timid at first, but when I begin to trust I want nothing more than to be by your side (leaning of course) and to snuggle next to you at night. When I first arrived at my foster family, I was cautious of the children but after a few days I now approach them for pets and in return give them lots of kisses. I’m an Alpha girl so would prefer a docile buddy. I like to walk on a leash and I am pretty good at it although I will still need some training, both obedience and potty (but I’m close!). I love treats and will gently take them from your hand. I am ready now to settle in with my new family so that I can continue to build trust and reach my full potential of a great family member. Being a Catahoula I am intelligent, gentle, energetic, loving, inquisitive, independent, and can be strong willed. $250 adoption fee applies. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and vaccinated. Adoptions start with a 30-day trial and if it's not a good fit during that period, we will refund 75% of the adoption fee.
