Chip is an easygoing and adaptable dog that we believe would fit in most anywhere. He is outgoing and seeks attention and love from people. Chip would be in absolute paradise if his home had a fenced in back yard with a few trees and squirrels in those trees. Chip is mild mannered and has great house manners. He is completely house trained and crate trained and sleeps in his crate at night. In the morning, he gets anxious & excited to get out of his kennel so he can go find some squirrels.

Chip is great with all shapes and sizes of other dogs. He will play with them some so long as it doesn’t interfere with his squirrel time. Chip also does well with indoor cats and mostly ignores them. If he sees a cat outside then the chase is on!! Maybe he thinks it’s a big squirrel! Chip also has good leash manners. He doesn’t pull on the leash most of the time....but he just can’t help himself if he sees a squirrel!

As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs.  Therefore, we only honor meet requests from pre-approved adopters, with an application on file. Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can and allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Our adoption fee is $450 which includes all transport, vetting and microchipping. *Completion of obedience training within 90 days of adoption is a requirement for adoption through AARF.*  Our minimum age for adoption is 25 years old.
