Meet Smokey, isn't he just the most handsome guy!? Smokey was abandoned outside a rural shelter in Louisiana and saved by one of our amazing volunteers. His foster mom has been taking such great care of him and while she is so sad to see him go, she is excited for him to find his forever home in the great PNW! She says he just the sweetest, goofiest, most lovable pup.  He does well with her other dogs, cats, dog savvy kids, you name it. He loves to be outside, but also loves to snuggle in his bed once he's given it a good fluff to make it extra cozy.  Smokey’s perfect home would be one with another dog he can play with and older children who can handle his puppy energy. He hasn't quite mastered the leash yet, but once he does, his foster mom says he would be an excellent hiking dog. Does Smokey sound like the right fit for your home? As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $450 which includes all transport, vetting and microchipping. *Training within 90 days of adoption is a  requirement  to adopt through AARF*
