Oh Fortuna! A snuggle bug just looking for unconditional love. This dog is so sweet and silly it will melt your heart. She just needs a home - a place she knows she belongs and will be loved for all her days.

This adorable dog loves:

- Pets and love from humans who love her

- Chewing on new toys, especially if they squeak

- Having a fun, older dog buddy to show her the way

- Snuggling in a blanket that is all her own

Fortuna is still a little uncertain about:

- Lots of stairs (she hasn't yet figured them out just yet)

- Leashes and what to do when it's on

- New experiences such as rooms she hasn't been in before, large items that make noise and when her older foster brother barks too loud

Fortuna deserves the world. She is silly, quick to learn, and so sweet. She absolutely needs a patient family to help her grow and learn how to be a dog. She would also do best in a house with a friendly older dog that can show her the ropes (and she has yet to show any interest in our cat). Fortuna sleeps in a crate and will let you know if she has to go potty. She is great at puzzle games but most of the day just wants to sleep next to her human knowing she is finally loved. As a purely foster based rescue, we have no central location where you can visit our dogs. Therefore, we only honor meet requests from pre-approved adopters, with an application on file.  Please fill in our online adoption application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can and allow at least 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Our adoption fee is $450 which includes all transport, vetting, and micro-chipping. *Completion of obedience training within 90 days of adoption is a requirement for adoption through AARF.*
