Meet Issac!  This handsome hunk was rescued from a kill shelter in Louisiana and brought to Seattle to find his forever home.  He is seriously the bestest boy, personality plus!!

Issac is such a LOVE, we should have named him Romeo.  He follows his foster everywhere, just wants her to sit or lay so he can snuggle with her.  His leash manners are getting better and he plays really well with the neighborhood pack of dogs.  He is working on recall and doing well!   He would do best with older children mainly because of strength, he could knock small children over, not intentionally.

PROS:

VERY loving, VERY smart, willing to learn and catches on fast and is extremely willing to please.

He is learning to walk on lead using a “Wonder Walker” harness and is responding well.

He loves everybody and is not at all aggressive with people or other dogs, he will however, retaliate if challenged by another dog. He is confident and is not at all cowardly or submissive.

He responds well to stay, come, sit and NO.

He is an amazing cuddler, just wants to be close to his human, preferably on your lap or snuggled in tight.

He is crate trained and goes in willingly.

CONS:

Plays hard & rough …not intentionally... just his personality.

VERY curious … counter surfs, checks out everything out (keep valuables up & out of reach)

Chews on everything will need lots tough chew toys.

He is probably too big and strong for small children without proper introduction and training.

 As a purely foster based rescue, we have no central location where you can visit our dogs. Therefore, we only honor meet requests from pre-approved adopters, with an application on file.  Please fill in our online adoption application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can and allow at least 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Issac's Adoption Fee is $375 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and micro-chipping. *Completion of obedience training is a requirement for adoption through AARF.*
