Zipper came to one of the worst shelters in rural Louisiana as a stray puppy before AARF pulled him into foster.  His foster mom says he' s a really well behaved puppy, super smart and picks up on new tricks and commands very easily. He already knows how to "sit", "shake" and "high-five" in just a few days. He is fairly calm for a puppy and likes to play but also likes to cuddle with you. Sometimes he will retrieve and likes to catch his tail as well.

Zipper is good with kids, other dogs and even cats! You really couldn't ask for a better puppy. He has only had two accidents in the house and seems to be getting the hang of potty training very quickly. He has adapted very well to life with five dogs, two kitties, several horses and a pig. Zipper really is a happy go lucky pup and is going to make someone an amazing dog. If Zipper sounds like a great fit for you and your home, please read the paragraph below to be considered.

As a purely foster based rescue, we have no central location where you can visit our dogs. Therefore, we only honor meet requests from pre-approved adopters, with an application on file.  Please fill in our online adoption application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can and allow at least 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Zipper's Adoption Fee is $450 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and micro-chipping. *Completion of obedience training and neuter by 6 months of age (at our cost) is a requirement for adoption through AARF.*
