Meet Kevin, he is an energetic and sweet 7 month old Shepherd mix looking for his forever home.  Kevin (also known as Cozzie and Coz to his foster family) is playful, curious and interested in everything - from a new toy to a new dog while on a walk to seeing waves on the beach for the first time. Kevin loves to play with his fellow fosters, but he equally loves his cuddles and attention with his people. He is full of pep and is strong willed, so he would be best in a home with children over 12 and dog savvy.

Kevin has quickly learned the ropes in his foster home here in the PNW and is responding well to training, especially when treats are involved. He loves his frisbee and toys, but is still working on the fetch part of the game.  Kevin would do best in a household with an active family, someone who will take him on adventures and provide him with fun  challenges.  Kevin  would be a good companion dog with the proper introduction, however he would also thrive as the only doggo in the home to lap up all the love and attention.

We are looking for an owner with previous shepherd ownership experience who understands the breed's physical and mental stimulation needs. If you have the time, knowledge and experience to give Kevin the home he deserves, please submit an application. Instructions to do so are noted in the paragraph below.

As a purely foster based rescue, we have no central location where you can visit our dogs. Therefore, we only honor meet requests from pre-approved adopters, with an application on file.  Please fill in our online adoption application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can and allow at least 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Kevin's Adoption Fee is $450 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and micro-chipping. *Completion of obedience training is a requirement for adoption through AARF.*
