If we had an AARF beauty contest, Opal would win hands down! Not only is Opal gorgeous with hazel eyes and a unique merle coat, she is also an obedient and intelligent girl. She is eager to please, once she figures out what you want. She is active and playful, but not hyper and has a medium energy level. Opal loves attention and belly rubs are her absolute favorite! She does very well on a leash with no pulling and will go wherever you lead. She is also completely house trained and has never had an accident in her foster home. She will crate on command and stay quiet in her crate if you need to leave to run errands or at bedtime through the night. However, we are requiring that her adopter have a 6 foot wooden fence as she is able to climb chain link and short fences. Opal would love to be part of an active family who would keep her mentally and physically engaged. She would also do well with another dog(s) as a companion. She would love to go exploring, camping, hiking or any other fun activities with her new family. Opal also loves playing with any kind of toy you will give her. To be quite honest, she is about as good as you can get and with regular exercise, socialization and training her attempts to climb any fences will likely disappear. If you think Opal might be the right fit for you and your home, please see the paragraph below for instructions on how to submit an application. As a purely foster based rescue, we have no central location where you can visit our dogs. Therefore, we only honor meet requests from pre-approved adopters, with an application on file.  Please fill in our online adoption application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can and allow at least 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Opal's Adoption Fee is $400 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and micro-chipping. *Completion of obedience training is a requirement for adoption through AARF.*
