Cooper is a very affectionate dog and loves to be with his people. He is eager to please and loves and craves attention. He is crate and house trained, good with other dogs, cats and kids - an all-around sweet boy! Cooper will climb wire fences and go explore the neighborhood, if given the opportunity. Therefore, we are specifically looking for an owner with a wood fenced yard at least 6 feet high. The times he snuck out of his foster home, he was always good about coming back home.

Cooper was found with a baseball size tumor on his abdomen, it was removed in early February and the pathology report showed a low grade Mast Cell tumor. Since it's removal, there has been no regrowth and he continues to be a healthy and happy boy, however there is a chance it could return and would need further treatment.  

Cooper would do best in a quieter home with regular outings for exercise and socialization. He would enjoy having one or two other dogs in the home to keep him company and play with. As a purely foster based rescue, we have no central location where you can visit our dogs. Therefore, we only honor meet requests from pre-approved adopters, with an application on file.  Please fill in our online adoption application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can and allow at least 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Cooper's Adoption Fee is $375 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and micro-chipping. *Completion of obedience training is a requirement for adoption through AARF.*
