Lucy is a wonderful dog. She was found running loose on the edge of a wooded area and was most likely an abandoned hunting dog. Lucy is sweet and walks well on a leash but does get excited and want to meet other dogs and people. She is still working on jumping up on people, but it's only because she wants your love and affection. She is fully housebroken and has never had an accident in the house. Lucy also loves to spend time outside no matter the weather so she would make a great running and/or hiking companion. She is kennel trained and gets along with all types and sizes of dogs. She has been fostered with cats and is interested and curious but nothing more than that.

Lucy is still young at heart and will be a fun addition to the family. She is the perfect family dog and would love running and playing in the yard with the kids and would love to join you on any adventures you have in mind .

As a purely foster based rescue, we have no central location where you can visit our dogs.  Therefore, we only honor meet requests from pre-approved adopters with an application on file.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $375 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and micro-chipping. *Completion of obedience training is an adoption requirement with AARF.*
