Please visit our website www.myaarf.org for additional photos, videos and details of Pebbles. Pebbles is deaf, but that does not make her any less adoptable! Deaf dogs can easily be taught obedience commands with hand gestures. She is smart and treat motivated and is currently working on sign commands for: sit, lay down, stay, potty, kennel, down, leave it, good girl, her “clicker” sign for doing something well and then gets treat, eat and water. We hope to find her an adopter who either has prior experience with deaf dogs, or is willing to take on the challenge with gusto! Pebbles was part of the Flintstones Litter - Betty, Wilma, Fred & Barney. She and her litter mates are friendly, active and playful pups. They are well socialized with dogs of varying sizes from Chihuahuas to Shepherds. We recommend a home with older children as Pebbles loves to play and sometimes doesn't understand when someone wants to stop. Pebbles loves to sleep hard and snore loudly. Her favorite activities are her walks and playing tug and her favorite toy is an empty water bottle. Pebbles' perfect home would be one with a large fenced yard and another dog or more that can model appropriate behavior and that she can play with as an outlet for her energy. We also would like someone who is committed to her training and the challenges that come with training a deaf dog. Pebbles would thrive with lots of attention, playtime and exercise and would be a great future hiking or running companion, with training. She’s been swimming once and is unsure of water so far, but would likely follow suit if other pups showed her how fun it can be. She would love someone who is home more often, or that she can be with a lot and that can work with her on her training. If Pebbles sounds like the girl for you, please read the paragraph below in its entirety for details on how to potentially meet and adopt her. As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location where you can visit our dogs. Therefore, we only honor meet requests from pre-approved adopters, with an application on file. Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can. Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Pebbles' Adoption Fee is $450 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and micro-chipping. *Proof of completion of obedience training is an adoption requirement for AARF.* More about PebblesGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids, Good with Adults, Somewhat vocal, Requires a yard, Leashtrained, Cratetrained, Plays fetch, Likes to play with toys, Likes to be in your lap, Protective, Playful, Affectionate, Intelligent, Even-tempered, Goofy Videos of Pebbles:
