Murphy is a beautiful Springer Spaniel who is great with other dogs.  He is currently being fostered with a pack of chihuahuas and pugs and he is great with all of them (as you can see from the video of him in the yard fetching with them).  He's a wonderful dog, minds his manners and is house trained.  He knows a few commands already like sit, stay, fetch, shake and lay down. His foster mom is still working with him on not jumping up on people out of excitement. He just loves to give a proper greeting when he sees someone new :)

Murphy's ideal home would be one where he is around his people as much as possible because he just adores his people.  A good potential match would be a retired couple with spaniel experience who can give him the time and love he deserves.  Murphy loves his kiddie pool and loves to retrieve a ball, or anything for that matter, if you'll throw it for him.  Murphy is looking for an owner who understands the care his breed requires as well as the breed's special characteristics.  If Murphy sounds like your match, please consider reading the instructions below on how to apply and potentially meet Murphy.

As a purely foster-based rescue, we have no central location where you can visit our dogs.  Therefore, we only honor meet requests from pre-approved adopters, with an application on file. Please complete our online adoption application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can and allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteer staff. Murphy's adoption fee is $500 which includes transportation, vetting (including spay/neuter) and micro-chipping. Completion of obedience training is a requirement for adoption through AARF.
