Are you looking for a dog who is handsome, loving and social? Do you love a dog who will give you endless kisses and hugs? Then Samson may just be the dog for you. Samson is a very happy go lucky dog that has never met a person he didn't like. Samson loves everyone and is always excited to meet and greet everyone who crosses his path. He loves to play with other dogs of all shapes and sizes and gets along well with other types of animals as well. His foster mom has goats, chickens and several dogs of varying sizes and he gets along great with all of them.

Samson needs an active household and would benefit greatly having someone who will take him running or hiking. He may also benefit from having a playmate and companion to help drain his energy with play and chase. He is excitable and does have a habit of jumping up on people for attention, but nothing that a little training and boundaries won't fix. He would do well with training to learn how to control his excitement a bit. Samson is house trained and crate trained and will eagerly go into his kennel on command. However, Samson is also a fence climber so he will need a six foot wood privacy fence to contain him in the yard.

As a purely foster based rescue, we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs. Therefore, we only honor meet requests from pre-approved adopters with an application on file.  Please fill in our online adoption application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can. Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers.  Samson's Adoption Fee is $400 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and micro-chipping.  Completion of obedience training is a requirement for adoption through AARF.
