As you can see, Gertrude has a million watt smile. She can turn anyone's frown upside down with one look at her adorable face.  Gertie is currently potty training and crate training with her foster mom and doing quite well.  She obviously still has accidents, but we expect she will catch on fairly quickly.  However, Gertie is already starting to understand that puppy pads are where she should do her business. She is quite the sassy girl and not afraid to make it known when she wants something. She can also hold her own with her two brothers who are much bigger than her. She can play and run around with the best of 'em, but also loves cuddle time with her people.

As a purely foster-based rescue, we have no central location where you can visit our dogs.  Therefore, we only honor meet requests from pre-approved adopters, with an application on file. Please complete our online adoption application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can and allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteer staff. Gertie's adoption fee is $450 which includes her flight from Louisiana, vetting (including shots, preventative and spay/neuter) and micro-chipping. Enrollment and completion of obedience training is a requirement for adoption through AARF.
