Skipper is an amazingly laid back dog. He goes with the flow and is very adaptable. His foster family includes mom (doggy daycare manager), dad and 5 yr old and 1 yr old sisters as well as three dogs and 2 cats. He gets along with everyone! Skipper loves to play and run around with the other dogs at daycare and hasn't met a dog he doesn't get along with. He is great with kids, but does not necessarily seek to interact or play with them, so he would be perfectly happy in a child free home as well. He would love to have a fur sibling(s) to help him come out of his shell and help him get comfortable and settle in his new forever home. He truly enjoys being around and interacting with other dogs.

Skipper is friendly when meeting new people but also a little cautious at the same time. Fast movements or loud noises scare him, so we assume there has been some trauma or abuse at some point in his past. He would definitely benefit from obedience, agility or nose work training with his adopter to help build his confidence and create a strong bond with you. He is a wonderful dog and will make the right person or family an amazing companion for years to come.

As a purely foster-based rescue, we have no central location where you can visit our dogs. Therefore, we only honor meet requests from pre-approved adopters, with an application on file. Please complete our online adoption application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can and allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteer staff. Skipper's adoption fee is $400 which includes transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and micro-chipping. Completion of obedience training is a requirement for adoption through AARF.
