Rusty and his littermates arrived to the rescue when Mama dog, Raven, was found having been hit by a car with two broken legs. While recovering, it was discovered that Mama Raven was expecting puppies!  Unfortunatley, three of the eleven puppies did not make it, but Rusty and his siblings were fighters and were able to pull through.

Rusty is a sweet boy who loves to play. He likes to play tug of war and ball. His favorite activity is wrestling with his brother or sister. He is very smart and is already sitting for a treat. He also loves to find a cozy corner to rest or a lap to snuggle in.  Rusty and his siblings are smart puppies and are already getting the hang of potty training.  He is also calmer than some of his more rambunctious siblings.

Rusty would love   an active family and would do well in a home with children and/or other dogs.  He would love a fur sibling or two, but would also do well as an only dog as long as he gets the mental and physical stimulation he needs.  

As a purely foster-based rescue, we have no central location where you can visit our dogs.  Therefore, we only honor meeting requests from pre-approved adopters, with an application on file. Please complete our online adoption application at www.myaarf.org/forms as fully as you can and allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteer staff. Rusty's adoption fee is $450 which includes transportation, vetting (including spay/neuter) and micro-chipping. Completion of obedience training is a requirement for adoption through AARF.
