Riley LOVES to splash in water. Get him a kiddie pool and he will be set for the rest of his days. He thinks the shower setting on a hose is the greatest snack. Loves all food, especially chewy sticks in any flavor.

Riley is the most goofy, big footed pupper I have ever met. He has zero spacial awareness which is the funniest thing to watch. He has sat on my back without even realizing. His favorite hangout is in a camping chair out back, watching people run by. He will bark at other dogs because he's a friendly boy and wants to make friends. Beware of the snuggle monster that comes out at night and nap time. Riley is viciously cozy! He finds amusement in pawing in his water bowl and in pools. He will stay by your side during baths to make sure his hooman is safe. Riley has so much energy and loves to bark, but with the right trainer, he will be your best friend. He's already the best doggo in the world so just imagine when he can potty outside! Gold.

Riley would love to be in a home with another dog(s) to play with since he does have high energy. He's is also excellent with little kids (my daughter is 1.5 years). He definitely needs a person or family who has the time and energy to wear him out everyday whether it be regular walks, hiking, running, or the dog park. Even playing outside with another family pup in a fenced area until he is fully trained on recall. Riley loves snacks and is very food motivated, so food would be his biggest motivator when training. He will train in a breeze and be the best pupper you could ask for!

As a purely foster-based rescue, we have no central location where you can visit our dogs.  Therefore,  we only honor meeting requests from pre-approved adopters, with an application on file . Please complete our online adoption application at www.myaarf.org/forms as fully as you can and allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteer staff. Riley's adoption fee is $450 which includes transportation, vetting (including spay/neuter) and micro-chipping. Completion of obedience training is a requirement for adoption through AARF.
