Annabelle is a sweet, beautiful young dog that has spent most of her life outside on a chain. She is starting to learn to go to the bathroom outside only, but still has accidents in the house on occasion. Leashes are also a bit of a confusing thing for her since she hasn't had much exposure to them. She thinks that she should run circles around you as you walk her. She is a loyal dog and won’t leave your side or run away when off leash. She is also super gentle and loves to give hugs.

Annabelle gets along well with other dogs and kids of all ages - even toddlers!  She has the classic spotted merle coat that Catahoulas are known for and the sweet, loyal disposition that makes them amazing family dogs.  She would do great as part of a family and would love to have a fur sibling, if possible.  She would also love to attend obedience classes with you to learn what you expect of her and to give her the direction and structure she needs to be the best dog she can be.  If you think you can give her the fun, active and enriching life she deserves, please submit an application on our website.

As a purely foster based rescue, we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs. Therefore, we only honor meeting requests from pre-approved adopters, with an application on file. Please fill in our online application at  www.myaarf.org/forms  as completely as you can, if you'd like to meet her.  Also, please note it may take 24-48 hours to get a response from our busy volunteers. Annabelle's Adoption Fee is $400 which includes transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and micro-chipping.  Completion of obedience training is a requirement for adoption through AARF.
