Doc absolutely loves to give kisses and sometimes tries to be a lap dog. He has some puppy tendencies since he is still pretty young, but does very well and picks up direction quickly when working with him. He has a high energy level and plays very well with other dogs (videos of Doc are available on his listing on our website www.myaarf.org).

Once you get him in his crate he does just fine, but he will not go in the crate on his own or on command just yet. However, we are currently working on that with him. He really is just a sweet dog, loving dog who is looking for someone to love him unconditionally and provide him the exercise and mental stimulation he needs.

Doc's ideal home would be with a family or couple with another fur sibling(s) and/or kids to keep him engaged and play with. He would love to be a part of your pack and join you on outings and adventures as much as possible. Doc would keep up with you on hikes, long walks, road trips and camping if you would love a buddy to enjoy the outdoors with.

As a purely foster-based rescue, we have no central location where you can visit our dogs. Therefore,  we only honor meeting requests from pre-approved adopters, with an application on file . Please complete our online adoption application at www.myaarf.org/forms as fully as you can and allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteer staff. Doc's Adoption Fee is $400 which includes transportation, vetting (including spay/neuter) and micro-chipping. Completion of obedience training is a requirement for adoption through AARF.
