Ranger needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
From Ranger's foster mom: Ranger is house trained but he is still a puppy and has occasional accidents. He's also very talkative :). He would do best in a home with a confident dog. He's a big baby and is braver when he has a friend nearby. He follows around our other GSD puppy and he makes him feel more confident. He is large and active so he might knock down a small child unintentionally. Ranger needs a lot of physical activity and mental stimulation. An experienced German Shepherd owner with prior puppy experience would be preferred. A home with older kids and another large dog companion would be best for him. Ranger needs the confidence of another large dog to make him feel brave. We have his crate next to my older GSD puppy's crate and he does fine when crated. He needs an active owner or family, one that isn't gone all day leaving him crated for long hours. Also, he is a puppy and needs training. He's smart and eager to please and will definitely catch on quick. He doesn't deserve a family that will leave him in the backyard all day or in a crate while they're at work. He would definitely do best with another dog and an active family, with someone home a lot. As a purely foster-based rescue, we have no central location where you can visit our dogs. Therefore, we only honor meeting requests from pre-approved adopters with an application on file. Please complete our adoption application at www.myaarf.org/forms as completely as you can and allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy, all volunteer staff. Ranger's Adoption Fee is $450 which includes transport, vetting (including shots, preventative & spay/neuter) and micro-chipping. Proof of completion of obedience/puppy school and spay/neuter by 6 months of age is a requirement for adoption.
