Izzy is a super sweet girl and loves to play with other dogs. She will jump up for loving but very gently and gets down upon command. She is very intelligent and picks up formal commands and obedience training very quickly and easily. Izzy was previously fostered with a very dog savvy cat who loves to play rough with her and interact.  However, she may not be appropriate for every cat. We also hope to find her a home with older children (10+).  Sometimes she can get a little excited and we worry she may knock over littles unintentionally.

We would love to see Izzy with an active person, family or couple who love to go hiking, camping, etc. and take her along on all their adventures. She would love to explore the PNW and be your companion in adventures and in life. We are also looking for an experienced dog owner who is willing to give Izzy the time and energy she deserves when it comes to training. We will include a training session with our trainer to facilitate a successful adoption. If you think Izzy might be a good fit for you, please read the paragraph below in its entirety. *Izzy does require knee surgery (at no cost to you) and would need a two month recovery period where she could not go up/down a lot of stairs or run/jump, but she could go on walks.*

As a purely foster-based rescue, we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs.  Therefore, we only honor meet & greet requests from pre-approved adopters, with an application on file, as you would be going to our foster's personal home. Please complete our online adoption application at www.myaarf.org as as fully as you can and allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy, all volunteer staff. Our adoption fee is $450 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and micro-chipping.  *Completion of obedience training within 90 days of adoption is a requirement for adoption through AARF*
