Mika is a fun and energetic girl.  She loves her toys and loves to chase her ball around.  Mika also loves to have things to chew on to occupy her mouth :)  Otherwise, she may find something fun to chew on herself!  So far, Mika is a fan of heavy duty rope toys, stuffed Kongs, balls, bully sticks and bene bones.  Soft or stuffed toys will meet their ultimate demise very quickly if handed over to her.  Mika is a great traveler and does well in the car, she has lots of energy and loves to play, but also loves to cuddle and receive pets and rubs.  Mika LOVES the water, especially chasing the water coming out of the hose :)

Mika would make a great companion for an active person, couple or family who would take her along on hikes, camping/road trips, walks and make her an integral part of the family.  She is currently working on her manners when it comes to leash training and jumping up on people, so she may not be ideal for a family with very young children.  Mika responds well to commands and corrections and is working on her basic obedience and recall.  She will make a loving and enjoyable companion, so don't miss out on this sweet girl.

As a purely foster-based rescue, we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs.  Therefore, we only honor meeting requests from pre-approved adopters with an application on file.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can and allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy, all volunteer staff. Adoption Fee is $400 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and micro-chipping.
