Gary is a big sweet boy who will be arriving in Seattle from Louisiana on February 3rd and will be looking for his forever home!

From Gary's foster: Gary is very affectionate and attached to his person. He wants to be with you and by you every second. He was rescued from the rice fields in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, having to fend for himself. He walks well on a leash, but is very strong and would do best with a harness. He is a great snuggler and couch dog, and is also crate-trained. He rides well in a car, but should be in a crate or tethered or else he will want to sit in your lap. Gary is obedient and motivated by treats, but does need more work on learning commands. He will bark (talk) to you until he gets his way. He has been around other dogs and cats. He is good with another dog, but does try to gain all the attention. He has been left uncrated during the day and did fine at home with the other dog. Since he is very food motivate it would be best to feed him separately from other dogs or cats as he wants ALL the food. He seems good with kids and needs a large yard to run off his energy.

As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs. Therefore, we only honor meeting requests from pre-approved adopters with an application on file.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $375 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and micro-chipping.
