Nala has been through a lot. She came to a Louisiana shelter full of milk with her three nursing pups - all as strays. We saw her picture and pulled her out of there immediately and put her and her pups in foster.  It also appears she was hit by a car at one point and has a leg injury that did not heal properly.  Her left rear leg is a bit atrophied and smaller than normal.  She has no pain and she uses it to walk, bear weight and get around, so we don't plan on amputating.  However, we are planning to start aqua therapy with her to see if it will help build up some muscle and strengthen it.  Nala is such a sweet and happy pup.  She gets very excited to meet new people and adores other dogs.  She will kiss you to death if you let her!

Nala just needs the right owner to give her the unconditional love and training she's been missing in her life. Even with all she's been through, Nala is still sweet as can be and is great with other dogs, kids and people as well. We don't know how she is with cats, but plan to cat test her soon. As a purely foster based rescue, we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs. Therefore, we only honor meeting requests from pre-approved adopters with an application on file.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully and completely as you can, if you'd like to meet her.  Also, please note it may take 24-48 hours to get a response from our busy volunteers. Nala's Adoption Fee is $375 which includes transport from Louisiana to Seattle, vetting (spay/neuter, being up to date on shots as well as flea/tick and heart worm preventative) and micro-chipping, including registration.
