Meet our handsome boy Artemis! He can be a bit t imid at first, but warms up very quickly and is very friendly with new people . He is great with all animals, including both dogs and cats. Artemis is also very g entle and sweet with children. He l oves to cuddle with his humans and i s very much a “v elcro” dog when he warms up to you. He is extremely intelligent and is already well- trained and well- behaved. He is very eager to please his humans and picks up direction and training very easily.

Artemis enjoys any activity that allows him to be attached to your hip. He especially loves to play outside, enjoys swimming, walking and hiking and would be a great loyal companion to an adventurous and active person or family who enjoys the outdoors and is looking for a furry companion to join them on life's adventures!

Artie's favorite toys are ones that squeak. He loves car rides to anywhere and would make a wonderful co-pilot for a road tripping, adventurous person, couple or family who would always want him to join in on the fun! He is very easy going and would really fit in well in a variety of home settings. From a family with kids, a couple looking for their first dog, a single person looking for an adventurous companion, or a person with multiple pets both feline and canine. Artie would be a wonderful dog and all he would ask in return is your love and attention.

As a purely foster based rescue, we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs. Therefore, we only honor meeting requests from pre-approved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything, or any particular dog, but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Artemis' Adoption Fee is $400 which includes transport from Louisiana to Seattle, vetting (spay/neuter, shots, flea/tick and heart worm preventative) and micro-chipping, including registration.
