Loves shoes. Enjoys playing fetch with a Kong ball

Callie came from my neighbor's house. She was adopted at 6 weeks instead of the recommended 12 weeks, and was with them for approximately 4 months after, before they surrendered her to me. She was the only dog, play with children, but never got any attention. She grew up outside, so learning how to be indoors is a world that she is becoming accustomed to. Callie loves being close to her human. She's not the greatest snuggler, but enjoys sitting on a lap from time to time. She sleeps great in her kennel as long as it is soft and stuffed with toys, and has the run of an entire room while I am not home. If Callie is doing something, it is easy to stop her by calling her name and saying no, but moments afterward, she will probably do it again. Callie does well with my cat, but does enjoy chasing him, which could potentially lead to a situation, but I've always been able to intervene. She knows how to get to the top of a couch, and will happily try to partake in whatever you're eating. Callie is just a lover. She will love you with everything that she is.

Toys. Kids. Family. Love. Somebody who can feed her twice a day, who will love and train her, and will play fetch with a Kong ball with her. She'll want to be in visual contact with you if you kennel her at night. She will whine for about 3 minutes and then go to sleep. She will occasionally jump up, but not cause any harm. Callie wouldn't mind a partner in crime, but seeing as she was raised primarily alone, it's okay if she doesn't have one. Given the fact she was taken from her mother and siblings about 6 weeks early, she has a high energy level, but will calm down, she is just needy. She wants your attention, and wants you love, and wants delightful toys to chew on.

As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $400 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
