Meet Leo who is a very friendly and happy dog. Leo gets along very well with all other dogs and loves people as well. He is a little uncomfortable around unpredictable young children, and would prefer a home with older kids (12+) or teenagers who are dog savvy. He's very easy going and likes to be pet and loved on and receive attention from his people. He loves to jump up in your lap and lick your ears and make you giggle. He is very happy playing with his toys and other dogs or will keep himself busy if you give him something yummy to chew on like a bully stick. He enjoys running free outdoors in the yard and is also potty trained and does not chew/destroy things. He is truly a sweetheart. Leo would be a great companion and is so smart and loving. He will always make you feel good and put a smile on your face.

Leo's Louisiana foster had thirteen dogs on nine fully fenced acres in rural Louisiana and he enjoyed playing with each and every one of them. Leo is so sweet and playful that he fit into her pack on day one, almost immediately. She thinks Leo would fit into most any home environment, but would do best with at least one companion dog who he can hang out and play with. Leo seems to prefer female canine companions who are playful and one he can learn from to help him with his confidence and continued adjustment to life in the Seattle area. Leo's ideal home would be with a person/couple/family who are willing to set boundaries and rules, and will continue to socialize him with other dogs and people, give him lots of love and attention and just make him part of their family. A recently retired person or couple with another dog or two to keep him company and play with would be great. Leo truly enjoys himself when playing with and being around other dogs and the people he loves.

Please read below for details on how to apply:

*As a purely foster based rescue, we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs. Therefore, we only honor meeting requests from pre-approved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $350 which includes all transportation costs from Louisiana to Seattle, shots, vetting (including spay/neuter) and micro-chipping.
