Ebony is an independent, sweet, calm and quiet girl. She has never had an accident inside her foster's home and is completely potty trained. She loves to play with her foster siblings who are around her same size and is learning how to be a dog who is part of the family. She watches what her foster siblings do and copies them. Her foster has loved seeing Ebony emulate her foster siblings and learn from them. She seems to be learning to be more confident from watching and copying them. Ebony enjoys her treats and toys and gets excited when she hears a bag rustle or she thinks you are walking towards the treat dispenser (i.e. kitchen). She absolutely loves having a variety of toys to play with, but is not destructive and will not tear them apart. Ebony is gentle in every way, her demeanor is gentle, she takes treats gently and she plays with toys gently. She is quite the classy lady :) On the rare occasion that she does vocalize, it is to express happiness and excitement over receiving her meal or a treat :) Ebony also loves to have a nice big doggy bed to sprawl out on with her many toys.

Her current foster would love to see Ebony get a home with a companion dog her size who she can continue to watch and learn from - and of course play with as well. However, that is not a requirement for adoption. She's great with other dogs of all sizes, people and children of all ages and is potty and crate trained. Ebony is also new to the concept of dog toys and seems to really enjoy having a variety of them. Unfortunately, Ebony cannot be placed in a home with cats as she likes to "hunt" them. Any person, couple or family who adopts Ebony will be receiving a most precious gift, as she is truly a beautiful gem.

*Please see below for information on how to apply:

As a purely foster based rescue, we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs.  Therefore, we only honor meeting requests from pre-approved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog (unless you want it to) but gives us a great place from which to begin the review process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $350 which includes transport from Louisiana to Seattle, vetting (including spay/neuter), UTD on shots and micro-chipping.
