Hi my name is Rocky and I would love to find a family that will love me and give me cuddles and attention every day. I'm not really into going to the gym, a walk or two around the neighborhood is fine with me as I do like to get out and smell the smells.  I also love to sunbathe and roll in the grass - want to join me?  I love fetching my soft Chuck-it frisbee with my foster mom in the backyard.  I also love to chase tennis balls, but am not the best at bringing them back just yet.  If you initiate play with a toy indoors, I will gladly join in and chase whatever stuffy you want to throw my way.  I also promise not to destroy them and tear out all the stuffing.  I can be a bit goofy when playing and once in awhile will get the zoomies and run around the house at random times.

If someone I don't know comes to the house I might be cautious and let out a bark or two, but if they are patient and understanding I will warm up in no time.  When we are out and about I am cautious but friendly with everyone as well as dogs big and small.   I know to potty outside and like being in my crate when you aren't home with me.  At bedtime I feel safest sleeping in my crate if that's okay with you. My absolute favorite thing to do is cuddle, so please make sure you have a comfy couch and don't mind snuggling with me while you watch your favorite movie or tv show :)  I will love you so very much and lay my head right in your lap.  My favorite treats so far are 100% all natural chicken jerky and cod skins.  My foster sister, who is an 18 lb terrier mix, finishes them even faster than I do, but I'll catch up one day soon!

My foster mom also said if you want to talk to her about me to fill in your application and the folks at the rescue will put you in touch!  She thinks a quieter, stable home with few comings and goings would be best for me. I am great with other dogs in the house, but wouldn't mind being the only one to get all your attention as well.  I am truly a champion couch potato, a sniff master and expert cuddle bug who just wants someone who will love me unconditionally because I will be the most loving and loyal dog ever!

*As a purely foster based rescue, we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from pre-approved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $300 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
