Squirrel loves to play with her foster sibling, Daffodil. She would definitely enjoy having another dog in the home to play with and keep her company. Squirrel would love someone who would love to cuddle with her on the couch and sleep in the bed with. However, she is potty and crate-trained and would do great with that as well. Squirrel loves the water and loves being outside, especially the dog park where she can meet and play with other dogs. She really comes out of her shell when she is outside exploring, playing and becoming familiar with new things. Squirrel truly is the most confidant and playful when she is outside as she is not used to the varied surface textures that can be inside of a home - she was most likely an outdoor only dog. Some of her favorite toys are squeaky toys, stuffies and tennis balls.

Squirrel would love a person or couple with a quiet and stable household to help her adjust in her new PNW surroundings. She loves to interact with her people and has lots of love to share!!! We think a special person or couple who are willing to provide the love, patience and support Squirrel needs will help her flourish and be more confidant. She can be timid and scared at times, especially of unfamiliar noises, but has made leaps and bounds since being with her foster.

Please see below for information on how to apply:

As a purely foster based rescue, we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs.  Therefore, we only honor meeting requests from pre-approved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org/forms as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog (unless you want it to) but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching and review process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $350 which includes transport from Louisiana to Seattle, vetting (including spay/neuter), UTD on shots and micro-chipping.
