Are you looking for a people pleasing, good with kids, super cute fellow to join your family? Then look no further, handsome Hank is the boy for you! Not only is he gorgeous and already fixed, Hank loves to run and play but once inside is ready for down time and cuddles. He wants to be right by your side all day and will follow you around keeping you safe. He is great with respectful children and has been fostered with 1yr and 2yr old grandchildren with no issues.  He also gets along well with other dogs of all sizes.

Hank hasn't been around cats so we're not sure they would be his favorite but he has no issues with horses and ponies! He listens really well and just wants to make you happy. He enjoyed charming all the folks he met on transport this week and arrived with us in the Pacific Northwest on March 4th and would love a family that will not only introduce him to the mountains hiking but also the ocean which he's never seen! He is a very sweet young man who needs some training to be the best that he can be but who will pay you back in endless snuggles and love!

We think Hank might've been an outside dog most of his life and so he is still perfecting the art of potty training. With lots of reminders he rarely has an accident now and won't go potty in his kennel. In his new foster home he has had no accidents at all in the last 36hrs!

Hank is a little nervous after all the changes moving from Louisiana to Seattle and at first will need a patient owner who will help him understand loud noises and sudden movements aren't the end of the world. He is settling in really well at his foster home and we are confident will do so with his new family.

If Handsome Hank sounds like the dog for you,  please do some further breed research on the catahoula breed and then read on for how to apply to be his new family....

As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $350 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
