Azalea and her siblings arrived in Seattle on Fri 2/16 and are searching for their own families in the PNW. She is a fun loving friendly piranha (- puppy) who is currently teething and loves to chew on stuffed squeaky toys! She adores her siblings and wrestling/ running around after them. She is pretty outgoing and is enjoying exploring her new foster home and yard and playing with the bigger dogs in the family. 

She is submissive towards other dogs both big and small so whilst she hasn't met a cat we think she might do ok with one if introduced properly. She's a sweet cuddly girl who is looking for someone willing to spend lots of time with her playing indoors and out. She LOVES the outdoors and can't wait to see the beach for the first time and go hiking in the mountains!

Azalea is an active mix of breeds and as such will need a home willing to find the time to exercise and train her properly! She will need lots of chew toys and cuddles too :) 

As with all young puppies, Azalea should not be left alone for more than 2-3 hrs at a time and is working hard on her potty training.  Part of our adoption contract is a promise to attend a puppy training class to ensure she has a great start learning the rules of life as a family member.  Are you ready to commit to training?  Do you have a hefty dose of patience?  Are you ready for puppy breath, cuddles, laughter and more?  Then perhaps Azalea is the girl for you :)  Please do your research on the Catahoula breed before applying.  They are an intelligent and active breed and require a committed owner.  Also, remember that any time you invest into your pup will be returned ten fold!  Azalea truly is a special girl and we want to find the perfect home for her. As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from pre-approved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $400 which includes transport from Louisiana to Seattle, vetting/assessment (including spay/neuter at one of our approved vets), all shots (at our vets) and micro-chipping.
