Murphy is a 5 month old best guess lab/pit mix.  He was found abandoned in a box in rural Louisiana.  Luckily he was discovered and now is in Seattle looking for his forever home!  This is what his foster says about him:

Murphy is 44 pounds of pure love and joy.  He was great with my 18 month old granddaughter who was visiting.  He thinks everyone he meets is his friend!  Murphy walks well on a leash, no pulling, just stopping to sniff from time to time.  He has puppy energy for a good game of tug-o-war, followed by some fetch and then will just plop down for a nap.  He is crate trained and seems to like that as his space.  He sleeps in his crate, with the door closed about 8 hours overnight.  During the day he will venture in and out of his crate when the door is left open.  He came from his Louisiana foster home that had a doggie door, but has transitioned well to standing at the glass sliding doors when he wants out.  He has had no accidents since he has been with me.  He has done well with knowing what are his toys and what he needs to leave alone.  He has picked up the occasional shoe, but brings it to you as if to say "can I have this?".  Loves chewing on bully sticks!  He will sit on command and likes to please however he can.  His Louisiana foster had both large and small which he got along well with.  

Murphy is going to be a BIG boy!  Best guess 90lbs plus.  

 

As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $400 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
