Meet the handsome Toby who  is looking for a home of his own. He's just over a year old and a fun loving sweet boy who loves his people and playing with other dogs!

Toby l oves being outside and going for car rides so would also make a great hiking companion! He adores attention and is always excited to meet new friends. This might mean he jumps up to hug you hello! He does great in a kennel when home alone and is potty trained- We think he might've been an outside dog most of his short life so is relearning how to be an inside dog. He does just fine as long as he is taken out regularly.

His favorite toys are stuffed animals and we think he would be a great fit for most households without children or with teenagers only as he is pretty full of life and doesn't like to feel cornered. He also doesn't want to share his folks with a cat - his excitement at meeting new buddies would be too overwhelming for one!  As with all our dogs we require that you sign up for a training class asap to help with bonding and for each dog to be the best that they can be. Do you have time for that commitment?

Toby is such a sweet boy! He loves snuggling on the couch, playing fetch with a whistle ball, and being outside. He is curious and very trainable. He does well in his crate all night. He loves to be with his people. He would do best in a home with an older dog, who could help teach him the rules of the house and who would like to play with him a lot.

As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $350 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
