Bizzy is a sweet active, affectionate little girl who at 4/5yrs of age has many years left of her 14-16yr JRT lifespan to spend with her new family. We do believe she was born with a hearing impairment as she does seem to have some hearing loss, but don't let that bother you as it doesn't seem to impair her at all! She is bouncy and energetic and loves to go exploring with her foster family. She managed a 5 1/2 mile hike at the weekend with no trouble at all. She is a little cautious around new people but warms up quickly. She is pretty quiet unless she is excited or when she is in the play yard and wants to come inside. Bizzy doesn't know how little she is and happily plays with the 4 big dogs at her current foster home. She also LOVES to be held and cuddled and is quite happy in a backpack or being carried around!

She has been good around adults and older kids. No knowledge of how she is with very young children but we would recommend older kids only since she will bolt out of an open door or gate and she needs someone reliable to guard her exits! She has very good bite inhibition- even when scared she does not bite.

She is potty trained so long as you take her out regularly and watch for her cues. She hasn't yet learned how to ask to go outside so will just need a potty schedule and a little patience. Bizzy does like to explore and is pretty quick so any adopters need to be aware of exits constantly and to guard against this happening. We are sure that once she settles in this urge to run will go away 

Bizzy would do well in a SECURE environment with or without other dogs as long as any other dogs were not pushy with her. She will play well with other dogs once she gets to know them but she does not like them in her face.  A secure fenced yard would be a plus but not a necessity. We recommend a martingale collar / harness for leash walking since she might bolt if she saw something interesting and managed to slip her collar. She loves attention and is a very affectionate little dog but she is used to being crated so could be left in her crate for the workday as long as her adopter could give her attention in the evenings. Other than her escape tendencies, she is really a very low maintenence dog. She has a lot of love to give and deserves a family of her very own. Might this be you? Please read on for how to apply!
