Currently Etouffe is being fostered by our sister rescue in Louisiana but she has a flight booked to join us in Seattle this coming Friday Nov. 3rd and is hoping her family  will meet her as soon as she lands! 

Etty is an all around awesome puppy! She has only been with her foster mom for about 2 weeks and she followed the other pups out the doggy door and has not had an accident in the house in over a week. She hasn't been on a leash much  yet due to her age.  She has been sleeping with the 9 year old in her foster home and has no accidents during the night. Since she's traveling to Seattle this weekend she is being introduced to the crate, after crying for just a short time, she goes right to sleep. No accidents over night (about 7 hours) with a kong in there and a toy.

She plays HARD! And then sleeps hard too! She can play a little rough with the smaller pups in the house- she does not back down as other foster pups have and will often have them pinned under her. Not hurting, but playing. Therefore  she m ay not be the best fit for someone with an older, small dog. Loves to snuggle and sleep on her person, but also content to sleep on a bed on the floor.

She would love a family with kids, but maybe older kids, because like all puppies her age she does have really sharp puppy teeth! She would probably also be fine for a person without kids, as long as she has plenty of attention! She loves toes and ankles but is easily redirected to chew on a toy. We think she would do best in a home without smaller dogs, only bc she might be too rough and accidentally hurt them while playing. She is brave and fearless and loves an adventure! Not afraid of people, meeting new dogs or cats, or going to new places!

As with all young puppies Etty should not be left alone more than 2-3hrs as we want her to continue her great start with no potty accidents. Part of our adoption contract is a promise to attend a puppy training class to ensure she has a great start learning the rules of life as a family member.  Are you ready to commit to training? As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $400 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
