Are you looking for a fun loving pup that is already potty trained and ready to play? Red might be the girl for you, she is full of energy and looking for a family that is wanting to be active with her. She is still a puppy and will jump up in greeting when excited and like any puppy will need plenty of chew toys to get her through the teething stage. She's a clever curious girl will need constant watching to ensure she doesn't get herself into trouble! 

Red has begun her training and is learning to walk nicely on a leash but she can get excited and will pull especially  if she sees something fun to chase like a bird or a squirrel. She will need a fenced yard  or a leash so that she doesn't wander off exploring.  Red  is strong and will definitely need to attend a puppy training class so she can focus her attention on to positive learning. She is practicing sit, stay, and down already. As she is very smart and treat oriented training should come easily with repetition and positive reinforcement.

Red does great with kids but due to her bounciness we would recommend homes with older children 5+- if you are an experienced dog home and have younger children please talk to us- each adoption is a case by case basis. Red can get carried away sometimes and her family will just need to remind her to calm down- other than that there are no issues around children at all. Red loves to cuddle. If she's not getting enough loving, she will jump in your lap or snuggle up to you. Loves to give lots of kisses. Very affectionate dog. Even when she gets in trouble she will try to love up on you as if to say "I'm sorry love me!"

Red has a tendency to drink alot of water which in turn will make her sick so you need to be sure to watch her water intake :) Red also snores very loudly when she sleeps. She loves to hog the blankets and pillows but will gladly snuggle up to you and snore in your ear.

Red will be a great addition to any home that has the patience to deal withShe has SO much love to give and deserves a family of her very own. She does great with dogs and cats (although cats don't seem to like her energy!) As long as she gets love, gets to play, and has attention she will be happy anywhere and a fabulous addition to your family.

As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters.  Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can.  It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process.  Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $400 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
