Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Young : : Large Learn more about the Labrador Retriever.
Midnight's favorite activities are adventures in the woods and swimming in the pond. His current routine is waking up at 5am and in bed by 8pm. He loves his puppy food and currently eats 2 cups twice a day as he is a growing boy! Right now he is on 4health which is comparable to Blue Buffalo. He is still getting used to traveling in the car and will sometimes get car sick. He loves his 3 brothers and his foster mates who are three tiny Chihuahua puppies (3- 5 lbs.) who play together with him with no worries. His nickname is Little Boy who is the smallest of the brothers but not in spirit. Midnight likes to "help" around the yard and just wants to do whatever his people are doing. He loves being around his people. His foster mom exercises him twice a day, morning and evening, - we always say a tired dog is a GOOD dog, the more exercise you can give the less unwanted puppy behavior you will have to deal with. Like all puppies he will need training and he gets pretty excited and will jump up in greeting. He needs chew toys a plenty and a vigilant eye to set him up for success. Midnight is potty trained and crate trained but he wants to sleep with his human and likes to share the pillow. He would love a young, active family with or without children who love the outdoors as much as he does and will take him swimming and hiking! As with all puppies Midnight cannot be left alone more than 4hrs ideally. Part of our adoption contract is a promise to attend a puppy training class to ensure he has a great start learning the rules of life as a family member. Are you ready to commit to training? Have a hefty dose of patience and love to hand out? Are you ready for puppy breath, cuddles, laughter and more? Then perhaps Midnight is the boy for you Please read on for how to apply to be his forever family....
As a purely foster based rescue we have no central location at which you can visit our dogs, consequently we only honor meeting requests from preapproved adopters. Please fill in our online application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can. It won't obligate you to anything or any particular dog but gives us a great place from which to begin the matching process. Please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteers. Adoption Fee is $400 which includes all transport, vetting (including spay/neuter) and microchipping.
